When are applications available/due?

  Applications are available during the 4th week of each quarter and due during the 7th week of each quarter prior to the quarter in which you wish to receive funding.

How do I apply for CCAMPIS funding?

  You can apply for CCAMPIS funding by picking up at application from the SAIL office (UH-386) during the 4th week of class.
Is there a waiting list for the funds?
  Yes.  Currently there is a waiting list for CCAMPIS funds
What are my responsibilities as a CCAMPIS recipient?
  • Return your completed Student Survey by the end of each quarter that you receive funding.
  • Return Parent Involvement Verification Form by the end of each quarter which verifies that you have:
    • Volunteered for at least 10 hours for one child, 15 hours for two children, 18 hours for three or more children in your child's center.
    • Attended one mandatory Parent Orientation/Workshop for every child that is being served by the CCAMPIS grant.
    • Obtained academic counseling.
How much financial assistance will I receive if I qualify?
  These subsidies operate on a sliding fee scale.  The subsidy you receive is determined by a combination of family income and family size.  Once your completed application has been submitted and processed, you will be notified as to the amount of your award.  Under no circumstances will the CCAMPIS funding be more than the actual cost.
When can I start receiving subsidy?
  If you are determined to be eligible for CCAMPIS funding, you can start receiving subsidy funding beginning on the first day of the following quarter after you submit your competed application.
May I use my current child care provider?
  No.  CCAMPIS funding is a subsidy that will be applied to the care of your child either in the Infant/Toddler Lab School or the Children’s Center on campus at CSUSB only.
How will I receive the child care subsidy funds?
  Your funding will be sent directly to the center in which your child attends.  Any unused subsidies will be returned to the CCAMPIS fund.
Will CCAMPIS funding have any impact on my eligibility for financial aid?
  No.  If you are eligible for CCAMPIS funding, this will have absolutely no impact on your financial aid award.
If eligible for funding, how many hours of child care will I qualify for?
  You will qualify for two hours per every unit you are enrolled in at CSUSB and one hour per every hour you are at work.  You may also be funded for travel time to and from campus TBA.
Can I apply if I am getting my 2nd Bachelor’s Degree?
  Yes, you can still apply for CCAMPIS funding.
When will I know if I am going to receive CCAMPIS funding?
  You will know if you qualify no later than one week before the start of the quarter you are applying for.

How long is my application good for?

  Your application is good for ONE academic quarter.  You must re-apply for each quarter that you would like to receive funding.

What will happen if I do not meet these requirements?

  If you do not fulfill these requirements you will not be eligible to apply for CCAMPIS funding in the future.  You may also be expected to repay any funding already awarded to you.
