INFANT / TODDLER LAB SCHOOL

The infant toddler lab school was created in March of 2005 and currently the lab school serves children age 6 weeks to 36 months of age.  The hours of operation are 7:30am to 8:00pm Monday through Thursday and 7:30 am through 3:30pm on Fridays. There are two classrooms in the Lab School.

The infant room serves children 6 weeks to 17 months old.  The curriculum is planned based on the current and emerging skills of the children in the classroom.  Soft areas, gross motor areas, books and manipulatives are just some of the wonderful opportunities that are provided in this room.  The adult child ratio is 1:3 in this classroom.

The toddler room serves children 18 months through 36 months old.  There is an adult to child ratio of 1:4 in this classroom.  The toddler room offers a variety of activities (such as water play, gross motor equipment, sensory opportunities, and literacy/numeracy activities) for these 1.5 to 3 year olds as they make the transition from baby to active and independent children.

The play yard is suitable for both infants and toddlers and includes a large shade structure, climbers appropriate for toddlers and infants, art easels, water play, and a sandbox.  In addition, the Lab School has several large strollers that are used to take children for walks around the campus.

Wait List Policy:

The dates that the wait list applications come out and are dueeach quarter are the same as CCAMPIS dates (versus having them available all year long). Basically this is how it will work:

  1. Returning families have 1st priority (whether they are CCAMPIS or not)
  2. CCAMPIS applicants who are approved for funding and are on the wait list (depending on the order they are in for the wait list) have 2nd priority
  3. Everyone else (mostly those who do not have CCAMPIS funding) will have 3rd priority based on the date we receive their wait list application

*Please note that everyone who applies for CCAMPIS funding needs to fill out a wait list application so that they will get priority. If they are approved for CCAMPIS funding but did not fill out a wait list application, they will have to wait until everyone on our wait list has been accommodated or has refused their slot.*
